Datuk Seri Ir Azman Mohd, 56 years of age, was appointed President / Chief Executive Officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) on July 1st, 2012. Born in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu on 26th September 1957, he sits on the Board of TNB and several other subsidiaries and is also actively involved in International Conference on Electricity Distribution (CIRED) Malaysia and served as its Chairman from 2008 to 2010. Currently he is in the process of establishing Institute of Asset Management (IAM UK) Malaysian Chapter. Datuk Seri Ir Azman held several key positions in TNB in the past 34 years. He began his career in TNB as an electrical engineer at District Office and gradually positioned himself to higher posts at various offices over the years, holding positions such as District Manager, State General Manager and General Manager of Strategic Management & Organization Development at the Head Quarters before being appointed as Senior General Manager TNB (Operational Region 2) in 2006. Assuming office on November 14th, 2008 as Vice President (Distribution), Datuk Seri Ir. Azman emphasizes on the importance of enhancing customer service level through the introduction of Customer Charter and Internal Service Standard. He also believes that a systematic model or plan that incorporates compliance, standards, consistency and service levels, together with the right people are vital to make it happen. April 15th, 2010 Datuk Seri Ir. Azman was appointed as Chief Operating Officer/Executive Director of Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB). Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hamad Kama Piah Che Othman currently holds the position of President and Group Chief Executive of Permodalan Nasional Berhad (PNB).
Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hamad holds an Honorary Doctorate in Business Administration from Universiti Tenaga Nasional, Malaysia, Masters of Philosophy from the University of Swansea, United Kingdom, and a Diploma in Statistics from Universiti Teknologi MARA, Malaysia.
He is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia (FINSIA). He is also a Certified Financial Planner (CFP) of the Financial Planning Association of Malaysia and Registered Financial Planner (RFP) of the Malaysian Financial Planning Council. He is also a holder of the Capital Markets Services Representative License.
His working career spans over 30 years in the field of investment and unit trust management. Prior to taking the helm at PNB on 1 February 1998, he undertook various responsibilities in various facets of investment management and corporate finance in PNB including as portfolio manager and head of corporate restructuring.
Besides sitting on the Board of PNB, Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Hamad is also a director of Amanah Saham Nasional Berhad, Pelaburan Hartanah Nasional Berhad, Amanah Mutual Berhad, Sime Darby Berhad, Sime Darby Property Berhad, Chemical Company of Malaysia Berhad, and several other companies.

President & Group Chief Executive of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS)
Tan Sri Dato’ Shamsul Azhar Abbas was appointed as the President and Group Chief Executive of Petroliam Nasional Berhad (PETRONAS), the national oil and gas corporation of Malaysia, on 10 February 2010.
He began his career with PETRONAS in 1975 and prior to his current appointment held numerous senior management positions within the Group across business divisions that include the Logistics and Maritime, Exploration and Production, Oil, as well as Petrochemical. Tan Sri Dato’ Shamsul Azhar is also Chairman of the Board of PETRONAS Carigali Sdn Bhd, the Group’s wholly-owned exploration and production arm. He also serves as Chairman of the National Trust Fund of Malaysia.
Tan Sri Dato’ Shamsul Azhar holds a Master’s of Science (MSc) in Energy Management from the University of Pennsylvania, a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and Economics from Universiti Sains Malaysia as well as a Technical Diploma in Petroleum Economics from the Paris-based Institut Français du Pétrole.
He has been conferred with several awards from by state governments of Malaysia, which include the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (PSM), the second-highest award of the Malaysian Federal Government. Beyond the Malaysian borders, he was conferred the Dato Paduka Seri Laila Jasa Yang Amat Berjasa Darjah Kedua by the Sultan of Brunei, and is also a recipient of the Honor du Merit from the Government of the French Republic.

Dr. Mohd Emir Mavani Abdullah is our Non-Independent Non-Executive Director. He graduated with a chemistry degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in 1987 and obtained his Masters of Engineering Management from Warwick University, United Kingdom in 2000.
He further obtained his Doctorate in Government Reforms from Warnborough University, United Kingdom in 2008. He had also completed various executive education programmes in institutions such as Harvard and Yale in 2002 and 2003, respectively.
Currently he is the Director of Oil, Gas & Energy and Financial Services in the Performance Management and Delivery Unit ("PEMANDU"), and also the Chief Executive Officer of Malaysia Petroleum Resource Corporation, the Prime Minister's Department. He served on the board of Malaysia Nuclear Power Corporation from 2011 to date. Prior to this, he served as a Senior Advisor to United Nations Development Program on various projects in the Middle East and North African region between 1998 to 2004. He was also the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development coordinator for Good Governance for the Arab region between 2002 to 2004. He was the Advisor to the Minister of Finance in the United Arab Emirates for five years from 2002 to 2007 advising on various policies. He also advised on the development of the first United Arab Emirates Agriculture Strategy in 2002 and helped in developing policies for the Abu Dhabi Food Control Authority in 2007. Academic Achievements
Dato' Sri Shazalli holds a Bachelor of Science (Marketing) from Indiana University, Bloomington, Indiana and a Master of Business Administration from St. Louis University, Missouri, USA.
Prior to joining CELCOM, Dato' Sri Shazalli was the Chief Executive Officer of ntv7, Malaysian 7th terrestrial TV station, a position he held for 8 years since its launch in 1998. Under his leadership, ntv7 successfully secured 28% of television advertising market and recognised for its strong branding of television programmes, innovative media campaigns and new media products.
Before joining the broadcasting industry, Dato' Sri Shazalli had earlier left his mark in the FMCG industry when he served the Lever Brothers (1987 - 1993), followed by Malaysian Tobacco Company (MTC) and British American Tobacco (BAT) (1993 - 1996) both in Malaysia and the United Kingdom.
Among key achievements during his time at Lever Brothers include spearheading the launch of the company's products into the highly competitive and challenging Indonesian market, re-launch of Lux soap and introduced Lux shower cream for Unilever Malaysia, and helping Lux to regain its leadership position in that segment.
Whilst at BAT, Dato' Sri Shazalli played the key role in leading the exercise to re- vitalise the Benson & Hedges market share in Malaysia. This exercise led to a positive growth for the company, the first after 11 years. He then moved to the United Kingdom to take a global position in heading the 555 Brand for Asia and was instrumental in the success of 555 Subaru World Rally Team and Championship.
Later he took up the position of the Director of Marketing in Asia Broadcasting Network (ASTRO) for 2 years where he was involved in the earlier launch of ASTRO into the Malaysian market.
Dato' Sri Shazalli was also the Vice Chairman of the Multimedia Commission Content Forum and was a Director of Malaysian Television Broadcaster Association (MTBA).
He also serves as a member of Board Executive Committee (EXCO), Board Dispute Resolution Committee and Information Technology Transformation Steering Committee (ITTSC).
